Local Business Repair Industry Custom CMS Blog

The website for my own phone, tablet and computer repair business — services, blog, and a live repair-tracking portal, all built on a CMS I wrote myself.

Your Local Tech Solutions is my own repair business, and this site is where most new customers find me — built from the ground up on a content management system I wrote myself specifically for small, local service businesses running on ordinary shared hosting, no servers to manage, no monthly software fees.

What It Covers

A full services section covering everything from screen and battery repairs to computer tune-ups, farming and agricultural tech support, and secure device recycling — each with its own page, pricing context, and a clear path to get in touch. Stats up front do the trust-building work plainly: 25-plus years experience, a 48-hour average turnaround, and well over a thousand devices fixed.

The Blog and Why It's There

The site runs an ongoing content calendar — seasonal pieces like an EOFY tech checklist, practical guides, and small-business-relevant posts — published on a schedule rather than written in a rush whenever I remember to. It's the same publishing engine I've since adapted for my personal site, just pointed at a different audience with a different voice.

Live Repair Tracking

One of the features I'm most genuinely proud of is the repair tracking portal — customers get a link to follow their device's status without needing to call and ask "is it ready yet?" It's a small thing technically, and it's measurably cut down on interruption calls during a busy day on the bench.

Why I Built It Myself Rather Than Use an Off-the-Shelf Platform

Running a repair shop on shared hosting with no dedicated IT budget meant most existing platforms were either too expensive, too generic, or too reliant on ongoing subscriptions for features I needed permanently. Building my own meant the site genuinely fits how the business actually runs — and gave me a CMS foundation I've since reused for several other projects, including this very site.
